Revolut IPO

Revolut is a UK-based financial technology company founded in 2015 by Nikolay Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko. It operates one of the largest digital banks in the world by user count, with over 50 million personal customers and 500,000 business customers across 38 countries.

The company started as a travel card offering fee-free currency exchange and has since expanded into a full-service financial super-app. Revolut now offers current accounts, savings products, debit and credit cards, stock and cryptocurrency trading, insurance, buy-now-pay-later, and business banking. It obtained a European banking license in Lithuania in 2021 and was granted a UK banking license in 2024 after a lengthy regulatory process.

Revolut reported its first full-year profit in 2021 and has grown revenue dramatically since, reaching approximately £2.2 billion in 2023 with a pre-tax profit of £438 million. The company is valued at approximately $45 billion following secondary market transactions in 2024.
