SpaceX IPO

SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies Corp.) is a private aerospace manufacturer and space transportation company founded in 2002 by Elon Musk with the stated mission of making life multiplanetary. The company has transformed the commercial launch industry through the development and operation of partially and fully reusable rockets.

SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket, with its reusable first-stage booster, has dramatically reduced the cost of access to orbit and now accounts for the majority of all commercial satellite launches globally. The Falcon Heavy, currently the most powerful operational rocket in the world, handles heavy-lift missions. The Dragon spacecraft delivers cargo and crew to the International Space Station under NASA Commercial Crew and Cargo contracts.

Starlink, SpaceX's low-earth-orbit satellite internet constellation, has grown to over 6,000 satellites and more than 3 million subscribers in over 100 countries. It represents a rapidly scaling, high-margin recurring revenue business. Starship, the fully reusable super-heavy launch vehicle under development, is designed to carry 100+ metric tons to orbit and enable missions to the Moon and Mars. SpaceX's valuation has been reported at approximately $350 billion in recent secondary market transactions.
